 Four members of the Texas Herding Association competed in the San Antonio Highland Games SDT on April II-12, 2015. The sheep were a great set of range ewes that were not used to dogs or people. The arena course included a challenging Maltese Cross. The photos below show the sheep entering the arena, Ken and Mac getting ready to start, Joyce and Wow and Michal and Rue at the pen, and JoAnne and Kaige at the Maltese cross. A great time was had by all. 
Debra Thornton went to Hempstead, TX on April 8 & 9, 2011 to participate in the herding trials at the Cardigan Welsh Corgi National Specialty. The herding events were open to all breeds. Debra was entered with her dog Cory in Course A Started both days. On April 8, she and Cory came in 2nd out of 14 in the A Course Started class. Debra ended up having the highest scoring Cardigan in the trial, PLUS they received Reserve High In Trial. They got their 1st leg toward an A Course Started title. |
